Akoya pearls are harvested off Japanese coasts. They are considered the most iconic species of cultured pearls, highly sought after for their perfectly round shape and their creamy, silver-pink lustre. Harvested primarily throughout French Polynesia, Tahitian pearls range from rich black to silver, with tones of green, blue and pink.
