Once again, Phillip Stoner was proud to support the NSPCC’s annual charity ball that was hosted at the Leeds Rose Bowl. This year, in celebration of the Queen’s jubilee, the evening had a ‘Jubilee Jamboree’ theme with music through the decades.
Phillip Stoner were pleased to donate a D-colour Diamond Pendant worth £3000 and, on the night, hosted a raffle which saw one lucky lady walk away with the stunning prize.
Over 200 guests danced the night away until the early hours and were entertained by musicians, Mollie Davidson and AJ Brown. Alongside the diamond raffle was a tombola and silent auction, tempting guests with their opulent prizes, plus a champagne bar and three course meal.
Altogether, more than £21,000 was raised on the night!
The NSPCC is a charity extremely close to our hearts and for the 10th year running Phillip Stoner donated the main prize for the Hats on for Children event.
The event aims to raise funds and awareness for abused and vulnerable children and this year saw guest speaker Jenni Murray, of Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and Newsnight, give an extremely entertaining and inspirational speech.
Phillip Stoner donated a stunning pendant featuring a 0.50ct, D-colour diamond, which was part of our exclusive Lila collection. We felt a piece from our Lila range was most appropriate as the collection was inspired by the birth of Phillip’s first grandchild.
The winner of the diamond pendant this year was Danielle Hurst of Leeds, who was absolutely thrilled with her prize. It was also lovely to meet last year’s winner again who was still wearing her pendant and came over to tell us how much she loved it!
Finally to honour the contributions made by Phillip Stoner for the last 10 years, Managing Director Jonathan Stoner (Pictured with Gill Warwick the Community Fundraising Manager of Leeds and York area) was presented with a special award for Outstanding Contribution to the NSPCC. It was a wonderful surprise and made us all very proud!
