Phillip Stoner were honoured to be asked to attend The Firecracker Ball, in aid of Barnardo’s, for the third consecutive year. This year the theme was Willy Wonka’s World of Pure Imagination and it was truly breathtaking…
The Angels Events transformed Rudding Park with oversized sweets, chocolate rivers and Oompa Loompas, hundreds of thousands of pounds were raised for charity in just a few hours and everybody had an incredible evening. Phillip Stoner donated prizes worth more than £5000 in an effort to help raise as much money as possible for Barnardo’s and showcased some stunning pieces, including their new Thea Collection.
Phillip Stoner’s Macmillan Coffee Morning was a huge success, raising over £135 for Macmillan Cancer Support in just a couple of hours. Thank you to everyone who called in to see us and to the staff for creating some amazing home bakes!!
If you would like to donate to Macmillan, visit their Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/macmillan/
From 11am-3pm on September 26th 2014, Phillip Stoner’s Trinity Leeds store will be taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The staff are busy preparing for The Bake Off to see who will be crowned Phillip Stoner’s Best Baker, there’ll be lots of cakes to sample and buy and competitions to enter.
All proceeds from the day will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. And as treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives. The money raised at the coffee morning will help make sure no one has to face cancer alone, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond.
For the third consecutive year, Phillip Stoner The Jeweller is showing their support for the Firecracker Ball by providing prizes for their ‘Golden Ticket’ raffle. In line with the theme, Willy Wonka’s World of Pure Imagination, the first prize is a stunning 1.96ct Chocolate Diamond, to be mounted in a piece of bespoke jewellery of the winner’s choosing. The completed piece, worth an estimated £5000, will be designed and handcrafted in-house at the jeweller’s Leeds workshop.
The Firecracker Ball will take place on Saturday 8th November 2014 at the prestigious Rudding Park Hotel near Harrogate. Since 2002 the charity ball has become a significant event in the Yorkshire social calendar raising in excess of £1.5 million for Barnardo’s and helping to change the lives of thousands of children and young people across Yorkshire. Money raised at this year’s Ball will help young carers who are supported by Barnardo’s.

For weeks Yorkshire has been embracing the yellow of the Tour de France winner’s jersey, decorating homes, businesses and gardens across the county. On 3rd July businesses and school across the county took part in the “Wear it Yellow” campaign led by the Yorkshire Evening Post, raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The Tour de France Grand Départ is only days away and in celebration, on Thursday 3rd July, The Yorkshire Evening Post’s “Wear it Yellow” campaign is set to embrace the colour of Le Tour, while raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Individuals in businesses, schools and communities across the region have pledged to pay £1 each and wear something yellow on the day. At Phillip Stoner, for every £1 an employee donates, the MD will match it with £10! Monies raised will go towards keeping Yorkshire’s helicopters up in the air, continuing to save lives. Phillip Stoner’s Leeds teams will be getting involved on the day – Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter to see the photos!
Anyone who would like to get involved in Yellow Yorkshire can email pictures and stories to The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Tour de France reporter, firstname.lastname@example.org, or tweet using the hashtag #yellowyorkshire.
