On the 12th May Phillip Stoner MD, Jonathan Stoner and wife Helen, were pleased attend a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
The invitation only event, hosted by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, marked Barnardo’s 150th Anniversary and was an opportunity to thank staff, volunteers and supporters for their commitment to the charity.
Phillip Stoner has supported Barnardo’s for many years at The Firecracker Ball, a spectacular charity event that is held at Rudding Park each November. As well as attending the ball the jeweller has donated prizes including loose diamonds, fine jewellery and the chance to create a bespoke piece of jewellery in-house, raising thousands of pounds for the charity.
Barnardo’s works with more than 240,000 of the UK’s most vulnerable children, young people, parents and carers and runs 960 services around the United Kingdom. To find out more or to make a donation, Click Here >
Socialite and sister to our future Queen, Pippa Middleton, has been spotted wearing the Chocolate Cannelé Ring by luxury British Jewellery Designer, Andrew Geoghegan.
The 18ct rose gold design, which is available from Phillip Stoner’s Victoria Quarter store in Leeds, is set with a mesmerising 0.33ct chocolate coloured diamond surrounded by a halo of brilliant diamonds.
Since 1998, award winning designer Andrew Geoghegan has been garnering a reputation for precision-designed chic; for pieces that unify sometimes seemingly contradictory elements – angular facets and soft curves, warm shades and metallic coldness.

Official Jeweller to Yorkshire County Cricket Club, Phillip Stoner, was asked to produce a commemorative medal, which was presented at the club’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday 26th March 2016.
Made from Sterling Silver, the President’s Medal was formed in the shape of the club’s distinctive Yorkshire Rose logo. The medal was then hand engraved by MD, Jonathan Stoner and finished with the Cricket club’s signature ribbon.
The President’s Medal, for outstanding voluntary services to the Club, was awarded to long-serving member, Nigel Pullan, who writes for the Yorkshire Yearbook as well as providing written material in various other ways.
Previous commissions undertaken for YCCC include Retirement Trophies, Man of the Match Cufflinks, Player of the Year Trophies and the Dickie Bird clock, which can still be seen in Headingley Stadium’s West Stand.
Treat someone special to an Aquamarine Cocktail Ring from Ungar & Ungar‘s phenomenal Blue Jazz Collection. Vibrant Aquamarine centre stones are enhanced with a sprinkling of sapphires and diamonds in styles that capture the glamour of the Twenties.
The name “Aquamarine” is derived from Latin, aqua, meaning “water”, and marina, meaning “of the sea”. The serene colour of March’s Birthstone is said to cool the temper, allowing the wearer to remain calm and levelheaded, making them unconquerable and amiable.
Ungar & Ungar Jewellery is available from Phillip Stoner the Jeweller in Trinity Leeds, or Spinningfields, Manchester or online at phillipstoner.com.
At one of the standout charity events in the Yorkshire calendar, The Firecracker Ball, over £300,000 was raised in aid of Barnardo’s.
On the 14th November 2015, 720 guests were transported to a world of make believe as they entered the huge marquee, attached to Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate, which was transformed to a land of fairy tales for this year’s ‘Once Upon a Time’ themed ball.
Guests were treated to a three course gourmet dinner whilst being entertained by various musical and theatrical acts.
Sir Richard Branson, Daniel Craig, Christopher Biggins, Ben de Lisi and Sir Alex Ferguson were among the celebrities offering personalised prizes for the online auction, which came to a close after dinner.
To end the night Texas brought the house down by playing the very best of their multi-million selling albums with hits including Say What You Want and I Don’t Want a Lover.
Phillip Stoner, who have supported the charity event for four consecutive years, donated a 1ct Diamond worth £10,000 to raise money in the Diamond Raffle. The winner was invited to visit Phillip Stoner’s Victoria Quarter boutique to meet our designer and goldsmiths who have since created a beautiful bespoke piece of jewellery.
Since 2002 the annual charity ball has raised over 2 million pounds for Barnardo’s, who each year help almost 14,000 children, young people and their families in over 80 specialised projects in local communities.
The Firecracker Ball 2016 will take place on 12th November. If you would like to find out more about the event or to pledge a donation please visit www.thefirecrackerball.co.uk.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes.. an Eternity Ring…
More than 2000 years ago, Ancient Egyptians used Circles in hieroglyphics to represent eternity. Similarly, rings, often gem encrusted circles of metal, were worn to symbolise the eternal bond between two people during their marriage and in the afterlife.
2000 years later, Eternity Rings are gifted as a sign of everlasting affection; typically bought to celebrate the birth of a child, an anniversary or special occasion.
Available in Platinum, 18ct Gold (White, Yellow or Rose) or Palladium, there are hundreds of styles of Eternity Rings at Phillip Stoner to choose from. From floral bands to classic three-stone rings, an Eternity ring can either be worn with an engagement and wedding ring, or by itself on the right hand.
Browse a small selection of Phillip Stoner’s diamond eternity rings online, or call into one of our stores to find you perfect style.
